Week 6...

trollGoing into Week 7 we are coming down to the wire. We were asked to do storybard which is something I have some work with in the past. My Machinima (found on YouTube) almost always had a storyboard. The RIP series did not, in the early episodes, and I honestly think they suffered a bit because of it.

Honestly, one of the advantages of a storyboard is that you can step back and ask yourself if the shot is even needed. Or if something in needed in between. For our class project we divided into teams, which I always love doing, and my portion of the project was to draw the Internet Troll, who you see to our left there.

One of the drawbacks of working with a team is putting the fate of your project in the hands of another. In some of my movies I was stuck waiting for a voice actor, having edited the entire movie with blank spaces just waiting for the voice file to drop in. To be honest, one of the biggest things you learn from class projects is just working with a creative team... we artists can be such divas too.

As for my Solo Project, I have a storyboard for a commerical for Coffee and Cookies... Enjoy.

I was origianlly trying to include this underlying theme of man’s journey through life and his quest for love as sacrificed by reducing himself to being nothing more than a self absorbed cog in the machine of corporate America, but in the end it was just about a guy meeting a girl over a cookie.
