Turned out someone I knew had a computer die on them. So I turned around and gave them this one. instead of a net profit of $125 I'm down $25 bucks. But that's okay, it's the thought that counts.

Oh wait, whats' this? Why, it's another computer that's not working... maybe all's not lost yet!

I've only read the first book so far. I thought it was excellent - well pace, good character development, original, adequately detailed environment, some great action, etc - until the part

SPOILER

where the skaa army they where amassing suddenly attacks a neighboring cities garrison. After this, I find the quality to go down hill a bit, primarily because I felt things just got too rushed and some of the plot resolutions at the end were just too convenient and hasty. It was as if Mr. Sanderson felt that the book was long enough and it was time to wrap things up - regardless of the effect on consistency with the rest of the book.

Great book on the whole. Perhaps I'm just being a bit selfish and just wanted more of a good thing.

I wouldnt go so far as to lump ALL high schools together, as it is the District's and their Superintendents which make the 'release' decisions. When I was attending, circa the 1990's, HISD always seemed a bit behind on announcing releases. And to be fair, the driving student population only accounted for a fraction of a couple of grade levels - I cannot imagine it changing much since then.

I am a Sims fan. This game helps relax me as I can experience things that may not be possible in real life. I currently own sims 2 and i think it is time to upgrade to sims 3 before the holiday. Anyway...thanks for sharing this blog. :)

I loved these books as well, but a movie regardless of how well or poor it is made will change my view on the books themselves.

I love this series and I am terrified that if they make a movie it will just destroy the books.
